Youth dies after being hit by truck in Chandankiyari, relatives and villagers block road demanding compensation

 


Jharkhand (Bokaro) Chandankiyari  29-year-old Raj Kumar Mahtha, a resident of Simulia village under Chandankiyari block, was seriously injured after coming under the grip of a grain laden truck of FCI godown last night. On receiving information about this, Chandankiyari police station ASI Sandeep Kumar Purti reached the spot and sent the serious youth to Chandankiyari CHC for treatment. Where the doctor after first treatment referred him to Bokaro Sadar Hospital. The relatives were taken to Sadar Hospital. Where after being treated by the doctor, he was referred to Ranchi RIMS in view of the condition of serious head injury. The young man died on the way while being taken to Rims. The dead body was brought to Chankiyari police station by the relatives at night. On the second day, relatives and villagers reached Chandankiyari police station for the demand of compensation. On receiving information about this, block chief Nivaran Singh Chaudhary and BDO Ajay Kumar Verma reached Chandankiyari police station and pacified the matter by convincing the relatives and people. Chandankiyari block office called for talks by BDO. The conversation with the mile operator was not successful. And the vehicle owner did not turn up for talks. Then at 3 o'clock in the day, the relatives and villagers got angry and blocked the Chandankiyari Jharia road at the scene of the incident. To remove the jam, on the initiative of the chief and BDO, the mile owner and the truck owner contributed money for the last rites. Apart from this, assurance was given to provide government funds. It was told that the deceased Rajkumar Mahtha was working in HFD Finance Company. Was going home late Sunday night after work. Meanwhile, he died after being hit by a grain-laden truck. The marriage of the deceased took place in the year 2019. Have a two and a half year old son.
