Violent clash in gate jam organized by Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatian Dhari Sangharsh Samiti

Ranchi (Bokaro) Chandankiyari :- Violent clashes took place during the Gate Jam program organized under the banner of Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatian Dhari Sangharsh Samiti. More than two dozen people were injured from both sides.  During the clash, CO Chandankiyari's car was damaged while Bangadiya OP in-charge Lalan Kumar was injured.  According to the information received regarding the incident, JBKSS and Yuva Sangram Samiti had already announced the program regarding their demands.  In which on Monday, Bhagabandh, Modidih and 47 Khata gate of Electro Steel Vedanta were blocked with 13-point demands.  The Rayat laborers were ready for the proposed jam programme.  The jam started around 6 am on Monday. People from nearby areas started gathering, which included a large number of women, men and children. Police administration and private security guards of the company were deployed regarding the gate jam.  At around 12.30, the agitators and security personnel came face to face due to the traffic jam at the Bhagabandh RM HS gate. Meanwhile, in the presence of the police administration, the private security guard of the company suddenly lathi charged the innocent woman Lakshmi Devi, wife of Fatik Mahato, resident of Kumbatand village.  .  Due to which the agitators got enraged and anger erupted on the security personnel. There was fierce fighting with sticks and stones from both the sides. Due to which a stampede broke out, during which the company's security personnel ran towards the plant to save their lives. Lakshmi Devi, resident of Kumbatand village, Dilip Mahato and Arjun Mahato, residents of Mundhaniya village, were seriously injured in the lathi charge. There was obstruction and lathi charge between the two.  Male police personnel and female police personnel have also been injured.  Dozens of people have been injured from both sides. Meanwhile, along with the vehicle of the company's security personnel, the vehicle of Chandankiyari CO has also been damaged. The situation remains tense from both sides. JBKSS supporters and villagers say that we are planning a peaceful settlement in exchange of land.  And they were protesting for fair wages, meanwhile in the presence of the police administration, the company's male security personnel attacked Lakshmi Devi with a stick and she got injured.  Then people's anger erupted. People said that the oppressive policy of the management will be opposed.  Meanwhile, the company management says that in the tripartite talks held at Sialjori police station on June 13, 90 percent of the demands have been agreed upon and resolved and the underprivileged families will benefit through positive talks.

Former minister Umakant Rajak said that violence has no place in democracy.  Condemn lathi charge on women demanding employment and fair wages in exchange for land.  The management should immediately resolve the demand of the Rayat laborers and a high-level inquiry should be conducted into the incident.
