Hundred players participated in the athletics championship

 


Ranchi ( Bokaro) :- Chandankiyari The grand event of Bokaro District Athletics Championship 2023 was organized at Sports Complex Chandankiyari on Thursday.  About 100 participants from the district participated and showcased their talent.  The auspicious inauguration of this championship was done by Jharkhand Government Leader of Opposition cum local MLA Amar Kumar Bauri by showing the flag.  Bokaro District Athletics Association Secretary Ashu Bhatia, Technical Chairman Ashok Kumar Bhattacharya, Treasurer Gautam Chandra Pal played an important role in the success of the championship.  During this, the guests got introduced to the players.  Before this, the players lined up and did a march past.  Participants in the age group of under 14 to 16 took part in the competition.  The events include 60 meters, 80 meters, 600 meters, long jump, high jump, hurdles, shot put, javelin.  During the sports program, chief guest Leader of Opposition cum local MLA Amar Kumar Bauri said that there is no dearth of talent in Bokaro district, the players here are leaving their mark at the international level.  On the occasion, among the technical officials, Ashok Kumar Bhattacharya, Prakash Kumar, Gautam Chandra Pal, Lildhari Gupta, Balmukund Prajapati, Ramesh Babu Singh, Sanat Singh, Sagar Ghansi, Shibu Prajapati, Deendayal Hari, Upendra Kumar, Raju Prajapati etc. played an important role.
