Block level program of falaria eradication was organized under Mass Drug Administration 2024 in Community Health Center Chandankiyari Auditorium.

 


Mass Drug Administration 2024 program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp at the Community Health Center of Chandankiyari block under Bokaro district. On the spot, Block Development Officer Ajay Kumar Verma said that Phalaria (elephant feet) is a disease caused by mosquito bite. We can avoid this disease only by taking medicine. It is important to take medicine for this disease because the infection of this disease is not visible immediately. Its effect occurs after one to two decades. Till then its treatment is almost not possible. Therefore, as a precaution, everyone should take DEC and Albendazole medicines according to their age group. So the same medical in-charge Trupti Pandey appealed to the people of the block to take medicine to eradicate filariasis. All Anganwadi centres, all health sub centres, all health centers and all schools have been asked to administer medicines. Where common people can go and consume medicine. Medicines will be distributed door to door for the next 14 days from Sunday. Present on the spot:- Malaria inspector Rajiv Ranjan, Dr. Richa Jain, Vijendra Lal, Pankaj Kumar, Vikas Singh, Ajit Singh, MPW and health workers were present.
